The museum will have an area of approximately 24,000 square metres, of which 6,000 will be dedicated to the permanent collections and 2,000 to temporary exhibitions.
The museum will consist of:
Sufficient storage areas for the organisation of loans and temporary exhibitions and to hold the future permanent collection of the museum. These storage areas meet the international standards for conservation and are fitted out with the most recent state-of-the-art facilities.
An auditorium intended for hosting a multidisciplinary programme of cultural activities.
An educational, scientific and research resource centre dedicated to the museum’s conservation needs and visitors’ policy.
Rooms for adult education activities.
A children’s museum.
Visitor reception and hospitality amenities, notably a restaurant and a café.
